Following prior comments and accusations levelled at former two-weight UFC champion, Conor McGregor – Jorge Masvidal has now speculated that the Dubliner is “scared” to compete against him, but insists, he’s the biggest of McGregor’s life.
Masvidal, the current #8 ranked welterweight contender, has been sidelined since UFC 272 back in March, where he suffered his third consecutive loss in the form of a one-sided unanimous decision defeat against former training partner, Colby Covington.
As for former undisputed lightweight and featherweight champion, McGregor, the 33-year-old headlined UFC 264 back in July, suffering a first round doctor’s stoppage TKO loss against her fractured his left tibia in a losing effort against Dustin Poirier.
Targeting a pair of fights before the end of this year, Miami native, Masvidal accused McGregor of taking steroids during his time away from active competition, as well as insisting that if they fought – he would break the latter’s face.
“He (Conor McGregor) is false,” Jorge Masvidal said. “He knows tasty I am a man who hits hard and that I come to kill. I do not come to hug in the cage. I am going to give everything inside of me to kill him. I have a little size, although now he’s shooting up and putting steroids and all kinds of things (in his body), but he is still a little boy.”
“I would love to fight at 170 pounds, but I don’t wait for anyone,” Masvidal said. “If he (Conor McGregor) wants to do it, I’ll break his face. If he doesn’t want to do it, let someone come next.”
Reacting to Masvidal’s comments, McGregor referred to the American Top Team staple as a “pigeon brain”.
“An absolute pigeon brain this guy is,” Conor McGregor tweeted in a now-deleted post. “Stupid beyond belief.”

In return, Masvidal claimed that McGregor was either too “stupid” or “scared” to fight him – claiming that he was the biggest fight of the Straight Blast Gym mainstay’s life.
“This pea brain is the biggest fight of your life,” Jorge Masvidal tweeted. “So you’re either too scared or too stupid to get this check.”
