Former UFC welterweight title challenger, Jorge Masvidal has accused former two-weight promotional titleholder, Conor McGregor of performance-enhancing drug use, and insists that if they ever competed at the welterweight limit he would “break” the Dubliner’s face.

Masvidal, the current #8 ranked welterweight contender, has yet to return to the Octagon since suffering his third consecutive defeat – most recently dropping a unanimous decision loss against former interim titleholder and arch-rival, Colby Covington at UFC 272 back in March.

For McGregor, the Dubliner, who holds the #8 rank in the official lightweight pile, suffered a fractured left tibia in the opening round of his UFC 264 trilogy rubber match against Masvidal’s American Top Team training partner, former interim champion, Dustin Poirier last July.

Yet to book a return to the Octagon as he continues to recover from his debilitating leg injury, McGregor was, however, notably linked with a potential end-of-year Octagon return at welterweight against Masvidal – following the Miami native’s loss to Covington.

Conor McGregor was accused of steroid use by Jorge Masvidal

Adding fuel to the proverbial fire of a welterweight showdown, Masvidal accused McGregor of utilizing steroids during his time away from active competition.

“He (Conor McGregor) is false,” Jorge Masvidal said of Conor McGregor during a recent interview with ESPN Deportes. “He knows tasty I am a man who hits hard and that I come to kill. I do not come to hug in the cage. I am going to give everything inside of me to kill him. I have a little size, although now he’s shooting up and putting steroids and all kinds of things (in his body), but he is still a little boy.”

“I would love to fight at 170 pounds, but I don’t wait for anyone,” Jorge Masvidal said. “If he (Conor McGregor) wants to do it, I’ll break his face. If he doesn’t want to do it, let someone come next.” (Transcribed by MMA Junkie)
