Ali Abdelaziz has claimed that a future fight between his client, two-time PFL lightweight tournament victor, Kayla Harrison, and current Bellator MMA featherweight best, Cris Cyborg will likely never take place – insisting that fan interest in the fight is mute.

Harrison, who made her first PFL (Professional Fighters League) appearance since renewing her contract with the organization earlier this month, managed to extend her undefeated professional record to 13 straight fights – forced the distance for the first time since 2019 with a unanimous decision win over Marina Mokhnatkina.

For Cyborg, the Brazilian veteran also maintained her undefeated run with the Scott Coker-led Bellator banner back in April – landing a comfortable unanimous decision rematch win over Arlene Blencowe in the main event of Bellator 279 in Hawaii.

In the time since – and even since Harrison’s stay with PFL, as well as the potential that Cyborg fights out her current contract with Bellator, speculation has been rife regarding a massive, legacy fight between the division standouts.

However, the aforenoted, Abdelaziz, who heads up management agency, Dominance MMA and represents, Harrison, doubts the duo will ever stand opposite each other.

“At the end of the day, listen, everyone is using Kayla’s (Harrison) name to promote themselves,” Ali Abdelaziz told MMA Junkie. “I have no interest in this fight (between Kayla Harrison and Cris Cyborg). Kayla will fight anybody. I don’t care about promoters, managers, reporters. They all talk about Kaya and Cyborg. Listen, at the end of the day, I don’t really care about this fight. This fight will probably never happen. And even if this fight happens, nobody gives a sh*t.”

“That’s my opinion,” Abdelaziz said of a fight between Kayla Harrison and Cris Cyborg. “Because Kayla’s Kayla. She’s undefeated. She’s the best female fighter in the world, and in my opinion, a pound-for-pound great fight now. She doesn’t need Cyborg. She’s making six figures, seven figures every fight. She’s happy. She’s going to beat whoever they give her.”
