Report – Bobby Green Returns, Meets Jim Miller At UFC 276 On July 2.

    A lightweight matchup between division veterans, Bobby Green, and Jim Miller is on deck for UFC 276 on July 2. during International Fight Week. The event is scheduled to take place at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

    Headlining for the first time in his UFC tenure back in February in a quickfire turnaround, Bobby Green, a native of San Bernardino, suffered a one-sided opening round ground strikes loss to the streaking, Islam Makhachev at UFC Vegas 49.

    For MIller, the veteran is currently in the midst of a career purple patch, scoring his second straight knockout victory at UFC Vegas 48 also in February, stopping Nikolas Motta with a second round series of strikes. Miller and Green were first scheduled to face off back in April 2014 at UFC 172. News of Green’s return was confirmed by the Californian’s management firm, Iridium Sports Agency on Twitter.

    Bobby Green made a two-week turnaround for his headliner against Islam Makhachev

    With his February loss to Makhachkala grappling talent, Makhachev, Bobby Green saw the snapping of an impressive two-fight winning run over both Al Iaquinta, and Nasrat Haqparast. Green made a quickfire turnaround against Makhachev, featuring in his premier headlining bout for the promotion after landing a one-sided unanimous decision win over Haqparast at UFC 271 – two weeks before his clash with Makhachev.

    Bobby Green, 35, also holds notable promotional victories against the likes of Jacob Volkmann, James Krause, Josh Thomson, Clay Guida, Lando Vannata, and Alan Patrick. 

    A 51-fight professional veteran, Miller, a native of New Jersey added Motta to a prior knockout win over Erick Gonzalez, which snapped a run of two straight losses.

    The adept striker is also revered as a hugely dangerous submission threat – landing an eye-catching 18 separate submission victories in his career.

    Amongst his lengthy list of UFC wins, Miller has bested names such as Duane Ludwig, Gleison Tibau, Melvin Guillard, Joe Lauzon, Yancy Medeiros, Takanori Gomi, Thiago Alves, Clay Guida, and holds a spectacular kneebar win over former undisputed lightweight champion, Charles Oliveira.
