Report – Arman Tsarukyan vs. Mateusz Gamrot Targeted For UFC Event On June 25.

    A mouth-watering all-European lightweight matchup is currently in the works for a UFC Fight Night event on June 25. – with the #11 ranked contender, Armenian, Arman Tsarukyan, and the #12 rated challenger, Polish finisher, Mateusz Gamrot expected to meet. At the time of publication, an official location or venue for the event has not been determined by the organization.

    Riding an impressive five fight winning run, Arman Tsarukyan sliced through Spanish grappler, Joel Ålvarez at UFC Vegas 49 back in February, forcing a second round knockout win earning him a Performance of the Night bonus after opening several cuts on the Spaniard’s face.

    For Gamrot, the former two-weight KSW champion enjoyed a splendid 2021 calendar, most recently handing Brazilian lightweight staple, Diego Ferreira a second round knockout defeat at UFC Vegas 45 in December of last year. Polish outlet, InTheCage was first to report the eye-catching lightweight matchup.

    A victory for Arman Tsarukyan or Mateusz Gamrot would likely land them within the top-10 of the division

    18-2 as a professional Arman Tsarukyan managed to add Ålavarez to a run of prior victories against Christos Giagos, Matt Frevola, Davi Ramos, and Olivier Aubin-Mercier.

    In his sole promotional defeat, Tsarukyan debuted at UFC Fight Night St. Petersburg in April 2019 against the streaking, Islam Makhachev – dropping a competitive unanimous decision loss.

    20-1(1) as a professional, Gamrot, a native of Bielsko-Biala suffered the first defeat of his decorated professional career in a ‘Fight Island’ debut loss against Guram Kutateladze in October 2020.

    The former lightweight and featherweight KSW champion would rebound with a second round knockout win over Scott Holtzman, before then stopping promotional alum, Jeremy Stephens with a first round kimura in July of last year, prior to his win over Ferreira in December. 

    At the time of publication, an official headlining bout for the promotion’s June 25. Fight Night billed event has yet to be determined to boot.
