A pivotal heavyweight matchup between top-10 division contenders, the #7 ranked, Alexander Volkov, and the #8 rated striker, Jairzinho Rozenstruik is set to take main event honors at UFC Fight Night 207 on June 4. – with a location or venue for the promotion’s showcase yet to be determined at the time of publication.
Headlining for the seventh time during his UFC tenure, Moscow striker, Alexander Volkov most recently featured in February against Tom Aspinall in the main event of UFC London at The O2 Arena, suffering a one-sided, eventual first round straight armbar submission.
Suriname-born knockout artist, Rozenstruik has been out of action since UFC 266 back in September of last year where he dropped a unanimous decision loss to recent UFC Columbus big winner, Curtis Blaydes. Slumping to 34-10 as a result of his opening round submission loss to the unbeaten, Aspinall – Russian kickboxing talent, Alexander Volkov had returned to the winner’s enclosure following a unanimous decision loss to former interim champion, Ciryl Gane in between his loss to Aspinall – to snatch a unanimous decision win over fellow European talent, Marcin Tybura.

Volkov, a former M-1 Global heavyweight titleholder, has so far managed to land a promotional record of 8-4 from 12 outings – winning against the likes of Stefan Struve, Roy Nelson, Fabricio Werdum, Walt Harris, and Alistair Overeem.
For Rozenstruik, the 34-year-old knockout artist has featured nine-times under the banner of the UFC since his arrival in the organization back in February 2019.
Booked for his fourth promotional headliner, Rozenstruik began his run with the UFC with a quartet of dominant victories over Junior Albini, Allen Crowder, common-foe, Overeem, as well as former heavyweight champion, Andrei Arlovski.
Seeing his winning run halted, Rozenstruik suffered a blistering 20 second knockout loss to current undisputed heavyweight champion, Francis Ngannou – before rebounding with his own win against former titleholder, Junior dos Santos.
In between his losses to common-opposition, Gane, and Blaydes, Rozenstruik landed a first round buzzer-beating knockout win over Augusto Sakai.
