The report obtained details how Covington was struck twice during the alleged incident, once in the mouth, resulting in a fractured tooth, and once in the left eye, with the Californian claiming Masvidal had said to him “You shouldn’t have been talking about my kids,” during the alleged altercation.

In the police report, Covington alleges that he had witnessed “three or four other unknown males” making their way toward him in what he described as an “aggressive manager”, leading to him returning “back into the Papi Steak restaurant, where he contacted police.”
