Following their fracas during UFC London fight week, undefeated UFC lightweight, Ilia Topuria is chomping at the for a matchup with Paddy Pimblett regardless of results this weekend – claiming that he will “kill” the Liverpool native.

Yesterday, footage emerged detailing a physical altercation between incoming lightweight mover, Topuria and former Cage Warriors featherweight champion, Pimblett, where the former is struck with a bottle of hand sanitizer by the Liverpudlian – before responding with multiple strikes aimed at Pimblett.

Eventually corralled by members of his own team, the duo of Topuria and Pimblett continued to hurl insults and expletives at each other before footage of their altercation drew to a close.

Speaking on The MMA Hour this evening with Ariel Helwani, Topuria detailed how his altercation with Pimblett came about – with the pair’s rivalry stemming after Pimblett made a flagrant comment in response to a back-and-forth with Guram Kutateladze, claiming that he was not surprised that Russian forces had “terrorized” Georgia in past years amid the conflict in the region.

“He (Paddy Pimblett) saw me, and he was like, smiling to me and wanted me to shake his hand,” Ilia Topuria said. “I don’t know what he wanted from my part. So I threw two (inaudible) to his face, and then everything started, you know. But he was quiet, like a b*tch. He didn’t say anything. So yeah, f*ck him. F*ck him. He’s just a man on Twitter. This is not Twitter, this is real life. If you wanna play a gangster, be gangster by the end. If not just quiet, kid.”

“The same thing (will happen) that you saw on the video,” Ilia Topuria replied when asked what would happen if he ran into Pimblett again. “Maybe – if I have the chance – I don’t know. They (the UFC) give me the chance to be alone with him in a room, I’m gonna kill this motherf*cker.”

With Pimblett drawing Kazula Vargas on the main card of UFC London this weekend, Topuria draws former Cage Warriors lightweight champion, Jai Herbert. And regardless of how he or Pimblett fair this weekend, he wants to land a fight with the Huyton native next.

“For me, it doesn’t matter – he lose or he wins, it doesn’t matter,” Ilia Topuria said. “I wanna fight him. ‘Cause I know that’s the only way to have him face-to-face, man-to-p*ssy. So, I wanna fight him.”
