Terrance McKinney Replaces Ricky Glenn, Meets Drew Dober At UFC Vegas 50

    On just eight days’ notice, surging lightweight prospect, Terrance McKinney has replaced an injured Ricky Glenn – clashing with division striker, Drew Dober at UFC Vegas 50 next weekend at the UFC Apex facility in Las Vegas, Nevada.

    Featuring just last weekend on the preliminary card of UFC Vegas 49, McKinney landed his second UFC victory with a one-sided opening round rear-naked choke win over Fares Ziam.

    For Dober, the former top-15 ranked lightweight contender attempts to snap a two-fight losing run, most recently dropping a back-and-forth with Brad Riddell at UFC 263 back in June of last year. The bout earned both Dober and Riddell Fight of the Night honors. The UFC confirmed the pairing of their official website.

    Making a stunning UFC debut back in June on the same card as Dober’s outing against Riddell, McKinney stopped Matt Frevola with a stunning one-punch knockout just seven seconds in the opening round of his promotional debut.

    Riding a five-fight winning run, the 27-year-old McKinney maintained a 100 percent finish rate with his submission victory over Ziam just a week ago – landing his seventh career submission stoppage, to go with a further five knockout wins over the course of his 15 fight professional run.

    33-year-old Nebraska native, Dober suffered a one-sided third round arm-triangle loss to UFC Vegas 49 headliner Islam Makhachev back in March of last year –snapping an impressive three-fight winning run for the veteran.

    Dober, who holds 10 career knockout triumphs, has defeated the likes of Alexander Hernandez, Nasrat Haqparast, Frank Camacho, Josh Burkman, Scott Holtzman, and Jamie Varner during his 13-year professional career.

    UFC Vegas 50 is set to take place on March 12. from the UFC Apex facility in Las Vegas, Nevada – with a light heavyweight main event featuring one-time title challenger, Thiago Santos, and the streaking contender, Magomed Ankalaev booked to take main event honors.
