Footage has emerged this Thursday evening which allegedly shows former two-time UFC heavyweight champion, Cain Velasquez involved in a high-speed, 11-mile car chase on Monday before his arrest in Morgan Hill, California.

Cain Velasquez, a former two-time undisputed UFC heavyweight champion, was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder following an alleged shooting at an intersection in Morgan Hill, Calif. at 3:13 p.m. local time on Monday this week, where he was subsequently booked into Santa Clara Main Jail.

Velasquez, 39, was allegedly involved in a shooting that left another male requiring treatment at a medical facility, after he was shot “at least once”, with his injuries described as “non-life-threatening”.

Further details have since emerged regarding the shooting, in which Velasquez is alleged to have targeted the 43-year-old Harry Eugene Goularte, who was recently accused of molesting a close relative of his “100 times” at a home-daycare facility run by his mother.

Velasquez is alleged to have rammed a Chevy Silverado, containing three occupants: Goularte, his mother, and stepfather, with his Ford F-240. Velasquez is also alleged to have shot “multiple times” at the vehicle with a .40 handgun.

At a court appearance on Wednesday, the district attorney’s office confirmed Velasquez had been charged with attempted, premeditated murder, assault with a firearm, and assault with a deadly weapon, as well as other charges following the incident on Monday.

“The sad tragedy is that Mr. (Cain) Velasquez chose to take the law into his own hands, endangering the public and everyone in the truck,” Jeff Rosen, district attorney said in a press release. “This act of violence also causes more pain and suffering to his family.”

In footage obtained by NBC Bay Area this Thursday, cell phone footage appears to show Cain Velasquez allegedly involved in a high-speed chase with a vehicle containing Goularte, his stepfather, and mother, with the vehicle appearing to be dented and containing bullet holes.
