A flyweight reworked pairing between the #13 ranked contender, Maycee Barber, and Helena native, Montana De La Rosa has been booked for a UFC FIght Night event on April 23. – with a location or venue for the event yet to be determined by the organization.

Initially slated to feature at UFC 269 back in December, the bout between Barber and De La Rosa was shelved after the latter withdrew from the pairing in the weeks leading up to the bout, citing an undisclosed injury.

Snapping a two-fight losing skid back in July at UFC Vegas 32, Barber managed to secure a close, debated split decision victory against fellow contender, Miranda Maverick. The victory came as the youngster’s ninth professionally.

12-6-1 as a professional, De La Rosa herself managed to return to winning ways back in June at UFC Vegas 28, stopping former KSW flyweight champion, Ariane Lipski with strikes in the second round. MMA Junkie reporter, Nolan Kingwas first to report the news of the rebooked pairing.

Colorado native, Barber, boasts a 9-2 professional record managed to establish an impressive three-fight winning spree to kick-off her UFC tenure, following a transition from Dana White’s Contender Series.

Debuting back in November 2018, Barber first finished Hannah Cifers with strikes, before then stopping JJ Aldrich, and the talented, Gillian Robertson.

Before her win over Maverick, Barber dropped a stunning upset decision defeat against Roxanne Modafferi in a high-profile UFC 247 bout, before another decision blemish against Alexa Grasso.
