RDA calls out Michael Chandler with one week notice

Michael Chandler was signed by the UFC, after spending the majority of his career in Bellator. Here, Chandler became a multiple time title holder and already has wins over two former UFC Champions.

Chandler was signed by the UFC a few weeks ago and was immediately slotted in as a back up for Khabib Nurmagomedov vs Justin Gaethje. Although the fight went ahead, Chandler made weight and used it as an opportunity to get a feel for the UFC and take part in a lot of the press.

Michael Chandler has been adamant that he wants a top 5 opponent to kickstart his UFC career. However, a few hours ago saw rising Lightweight Islam Makhachev pull out of this weekends bout against the former Lightweight Champion, Rafael Dos Anjos. RDA has attempted to keep the card together by finding a late replacement, and has called out Chandler specifically.

The UFC could get desperate, with just a few days until the card that now has no main event. The clock is ticking for them to find a replacement and Chandler is yet to respond.
