At UFC Vegas 13 last night, Glover Teixeira defeated number 1 ranked Thiago Santos. Ordinarily, this would make Teixeira the number 1 contender and entitle him to a title shot. Especially when you consider that Santos holds a win over the now Champion, Blachowicz and Teixeira is now on a five fight win streak.
However, a title shot has already been verbally agreed between the UFC Middleweight Champion, Israel Adesanya and the Light Heavyweight Champion, Jan Blachowicz. Although a date is not announced, which could suggest that there is nothing set in stone just yet.
In his post fight interview, Glover Teixeira pleaded for a title shot.
“Come on man, give me that title shot”.
"Dana White, come on man… Give me that title shot."

Fortunately for Teixeira, Dana White said that he is taking his request seriously, and that it’s something he and the UFC need to figure out.
“I heard him, I agree with him and I’m taking him serious” Dana White responded.
