Anthony ‘Rumble’ Johnson is “coming” says his manager, Ali Abdelaziz

Anthony Johnson was once one of the most talented and feared fighters in the UFC. He earned his reputation with 16 Knockouts and a 73% finishing rate. But he has not fought since 2017 and since 2012, he has only lost to Daniel Cormier.

Last night, number 3 ranked 205lbs contender Glover Teixeira, beat Thiago Santos to become the number 1 contender in the division. Back in 2016, it took Anthony Johnson just 13 seconds to knock Teixeira unconscious.

Concerned about CTE, Johnson went on to other ventures after losing a shot at the title against Daniel Cormier. However, earlier in the year, he expressed an interest in returning to the Light Heavyweight division, and re entered into the USADA testing pool.

After last nights main event, Johnson’s manager tweeted out that he was coming.

‘Rumble’ will soon be eligible to fight again, and could shake up the division which has a new Champion.
