Bellator 248 saw the return of one of their biggest stars in the organisation, “MVP”.

It was also one of the first ever MMA events in France, where the sport was previously illegal.

The event was aired by the BBC in the United Kingdom for the first time too. So all in all, this was a big night for the promotion.

However, the event received some criticism, as did Michael Page’s performance, who was described by the Bellator President as having an “off night” in what was a lacklustre bout.

Below are the official results.

  • Tim Johnson defeated Cheick Kongo via split decision
  • Michael “Venom” Page def. Ross Houston via unanimous decision
  • Oliver Enkamp def. Emmanuel Dawa via first-round submission (Japanese neck tie)
  • Alan Omer def. Ryan Scope via first-round TKO (punches)
  • Mads Burnell def. Darko Banovic via first-round TKO (punches)

Bellator 249 will take place on October 15th and be headlined by former UFC Champion, Cris “Cyborg”.
