Breaking: Dan Hooker calls out Nate Diaz

Earlier in the week, Nate Diaz sparked conversation about a fight with Dan Hooker, which got Israel Adesanya’s attention.

Dan Hooker has risen into top 5 contention over the past couple of years, but most recently lost a Fight of the Year candidate against Dustin Poirier.

Nate Diaz on the other hand hasn’t fought in nearly a year, and only fought twice since his last bout with Conor McGregor. However, Diaz is a fan favourite, and thanks to his legendary win over Conor McGregor back in 2016, is always in the mix for a big fight.

Diaz prodded this narrative along further a couple of days ago, when he tweeted a video of Dan Hooker knocking out Gilbert Burns, who is currently scheduled to fight Kamaru Usman for the Welterweight belt.

Fast forward to today, and Dan Hooker has responded, with a very simple and clear question, which weight division does he want to fight at?

Dan Hooker has already recently stated to Submission Radio that he “100%” wants to fight again before the end of the year.

The UFC is currently in need of some big fights, to add power to their upcoming PPVs in November and December. Which is why there’s a lot of chat around big fights being made before the end of the year, including a Conor McGregor and Dustin Poirier rematch.

There’s no reason why this fight can’t get made, and it would surely be a late contender for Fight of the Year, between two of the best strikers in the UFC.
